Default in deep trouble at start up

Hi,
i have recently joined this forum and was impressed with the technical advice given and i strongly hope to get some help.
Problem: sometimes when i start my computer an error message comes with a beep saying "USB device over current status detected system will shut down in 15 seconds".....and then the system shuts itself down, it even dont allow to enter in BIOS. I even tried to reinstall windows XP but it dont read anything from CD. And so i was just pressed some abrupt keys(just in frustation) and it started booting self (damn good luck) and this happened with me twice and i fear it will happen again. So can someone please tell me what the problem is and how to fix it up ??
Some important error messages: before this incident an error message with a blue death screen came in between my Game saying"dumpimg physical memory and disable catching or shadowing and ask dealer for a upgrade". I just ignored the message(but i feel it is the root of my problem).
computer specification: Amd athlon 64 processor 3200+, using BIOS of AMI. And ASUS motherboard A8N-VM.(if u need more information then please ask).
Previously i have showed my motherboard to ASUS service center but they took ONE month and still they didnt fixed it , so i dont have hope from them. I have to use my computer regularly and i cant do my work with such troubles. SO please help me.

Hi, sounds like you have an interrupt or memory conflict.

Could be a driver issue, or software bug. Have you updated your drivers (motherboard, graphics card) and Windows XP? Also, is your motherboard using a relatively recent BIOS?

Well, it's generally a very good idea to :

1. Download and update the motherboard BIOS and drivers. You can get them from the ASUS website @ http://www.asus.com/.

2. Download and update the graphics card driver. I'm not sure what card you are using but you can get the drivers from www.nvidia.com (if you are using an NVIDIA card) or http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html (if you are using an ATI card).

I wouldn't be surprised. Like I said, you should always update your graphics driver. Did you do that yet?

Just give it a try. It's not hard at all. Download your graphics card driver, install it and then reboot.
