Default Broken BIOS

First post..

Having problems with my new set-up getting errors trying to install VISTA 32/64. Managed to get XP Pro working OK, decided to Flash the BIOS.

Its a Gigabyte board (P35C DS3R rev1.1), the lastest version was F7, I was on on F6. The thing is now an expensive brick. It won't post, just black screen, and all the fans sound as though they are running at full.

Can I recover from this?

Hmm.. Did you successfully complete the BIOS flash process?

If so, then it's likely you forgot to flush the CMOS settings although the BIOS flash utility normally does that automatically after the flash process.

You can try clearing the CMOS settings. Check your manual on where the Clear CMOS jumper is, and how it should be used.

If not, you can always try this - Tech ARP - Hot Flashing Guide Rev. 2.0

Buy a new board? Why not just send in for warranty?
