Reputation: 0 ![]() Rep Power: 0 | My motherboard: ECS 848p-a I noticed my video card wasn't working. There was a yellow warning sign next to the "nvidia WDM video capture (universal)" when i checked the device manager. I tried updating and reinstalling but after some research online read something about enabling "Assign IRQ to VGA" I checked everywhere for the setting but it doesn't seem to exist. I went through every setting and i'm 100% its not there. Can someone tell me how to enable this setting? My motherboard is a "ECS 848p-a" and my video card is "GeForce FX 5200" I am completely new to BIOS... Please someone help? |

I don't think that is your problem. Did you install the latest NVIDIA driver? You can get it at Drivers - NVIDIA Driver Downloads - Download Drivers Also, it is a good idea to update your motherboard BIOS, if you have not already done so. We have a guide here - Tech ARP - Motherboard BIOS Flashing Guide if you need help on that.

Reputation: 0 ![]() Rep Power: 0 | yeah everything is up to date. I still get the same problem "This device cannot start. (Code 10)" for "nvidia WDM video capture (universal)" in device manager. Assigning IRQ to VGA is the only thing I haven't tried yet. If this isn't the solution then I have no idea what to do. |

Except for some obscure reason, all motherboards will assign an IRQ to the graphics card. If the option is not there, that means they enabled it by default and are not allowing you to disable it. Yeah, I think Chai could be right. If you have another graphics card, try that. If it works, then you know you have a faulty card.
