What good metal polishers to use?

I'm looking for a metal polisher to clean the metal off my cross chain. It seems a bit stained with dust or something.

Any recommended brands of cleaners to get? Should I get a metal polisher?

Please help. Thanks.

I use Mr. Brasso!

Works very well, but has a very strong smell.

Will definitely give it a try. Can get it easily at any departmental store or DIY store in Malaysia?

you should be able to find brasso anywhere in diy and hardware shops. for me I use the Amway one... but mostly meant for pots and pans cos it's safe for those....

Yup, it's really common.

No real need to get the biggest tube. Even the small tube lasts a long time.

Thanks guys. Will try to look for it.

Now I'm just afraid that the metal has stained (or rusted or oxidized? not sure how to describe it) so bad, that I may need to repaint or do something else with it.

Well, clean it up with Mr. Brasso first. Then you can repaint it.
