what cpu is the best,

Hi everyone,

I new here,Just Join the groups,I need you comments and suggestion that I need to buy a new cpu just cpu only and my budget is around 2k,I do all lots of 3d,as per my intell pentium 3 which is dell optiplex 110 has kaputt,

And can;t be repaired,So most of my friends would say that it's better to buy the intell duo core and so on,But for me I not sure which One ,Do any of you have any suggestion,what should I buy,For your info,I have kids means that they would play gamez when I'm not around, Any suggestion. Guys....

Not including mobo and RAM? Or do you mean, everything inside the casing?

I think he means the whole "CPU", as in the computer minus the monitor, keyboard and mouse. However, I'm not sure if he's referring to RM or USD 2K....

the fastest/most powerful cpu is not always the best choice, what you need to look for is a cpu with a good performance/price ratio within your pre determine budget.
