Like I said I will consider a laptop for work if I become as busy as our fearless leader but for now the desktop runs just fine

Desktop still won't die since we can't do much stuff on normal/average laptop (don't include those freaking expensive laptops xD). While those high end laptop are capable of doing what desktop can do to~ Like Alienware laptops XD |

Notebook to me has many purpose, one of it is my mobile storage. eg - when snapping in RAW files, run out of space. you can transfer the files over to the notebook and continue snapping again. of course, arguably bringing multiple memory cards would be more cost effective but then I don't have many CF. Notebook would allow me to have preview too. |

Laptop for meeting and mostly everything else... desktop when my laptop is occupied or I want to find source code and code it on my laptop, then I use desktop. Laptop more personal too due to the smaller screen size. I don't want people to know what I'm doing. Like now... Desktop has a widescreen though, which I don't use much. Coz lazy want to change source through the menu. I'm linking the VGA to my laptop and the DVI cable to my desktop. Hehe.. At home, desktop! ![]()

With desktops, you just run to a tech shop, buy a replacement and then RMA the old hardware. Almost no downtime |
