Yup, but as mentioned, the performance is not even close to desktop counterparts and it costs a few times more than a desktop. Plus, with such high end components in your laptop, 50% of the mobility (which is the main purpose of laptop itself) is already lost It's too heavy and power consumption is too high. You'll need to be near a wall socket in order to play games.

Not to mention, you have to sacrifice sound quality, moddability, HDD capacity.

Yeah, definitely. There's no way notebooks can match desktops in performance, upgradeability or cost-effectiveness. It's a matter of size, power and thermal output.

I've seen those HP Desktop Replacement laptops, and they have huge screen. Priced around RM7k I guess.

And they have even a docking station. These doesn't look any portable anymore...

...and that notebook is so big until you can whack or slam it on some poor unsuspecting thief if he attempted to lay his hands on it.

Well, for the generic internut browsing and simple excel spreadsheets, there's the EEEPc for you too! They are good and nifty little stuff, priced at RM1399 retail.

And they can be hidden into your coat pocket I guess.
