Not completely untrue, you still need to install Creative ALchemy for Vista.

True but overall I don't think the drivers are the same ...

Not familiar with it. Maybe someone can share. But if it's based on X-Fi, and Creative doesn't have proper Vista drivers, I doubt they will have.

Auzentech just don't bundle the drivers (with Prelude) they got from Creative.Reports say that Auzentech takes them from Creative & rebuilds them completely so that there are no glitches or bugs present in the drivers.People who are using Prelude haven't reported any performance glitches with Vista which is a major problem for Creatives.

Creative also provide many unnecessary applications with their drivers while Auzentech provides only the needed driver files rebuilded by them. This driver modification removes the THX certification but anyways, when the card plays far better than Creative X-Fi cards & supports on the fly DD Live & DTS decodings (DTS True HD & DD True HD in future by driver upgrades) then what more could we ask for ?

Also Auzentech is much cheaper than an Elite Pro but provides Audio fidelity at par with it.

I think still got but now the price is at MYR290 ...Just the soundcard only excluding the panels and etc A 1.3k Soundcard going for only 290..CHeap eh ;P..BUt then i'm not into Creative soundcards due to drivers problem =/
Wah~ price increase so fast. But, with this price, is better to wait for the Asus Xonar DX to be sell in Malaysia.

But, i think i faced a big problem now. I think my previous SB live! (CT4760) burn my motherboard now. It works perfectly with my old motherboard (Axper brand). But after i upgrade my computer and use a Gigabyte motherboard, it cannot works here. WinXP detected and assigned a correct driver for it. But still no sound come out from it. I had try different drivers for it (KX & noghq), but still failed. Now my computer can't even start-up after pressing power button. I even take out most of the hardware attached but still no use. No ram count, no hardisk spinning, not even a single beep sound. help.

Nope. 1 by 1 unplug all the hardware until it "botak" also cannot start the computer.

PSU got no issue at all. I can use back my old motherboard with that SB Live! at no problem now.

Where do you live? I'd import it if I were you? How much is it going to cost more anyways?
