2.5'' hdd

would a 2.5'' hdd running 24/7 on 48 C ~ 50 C be ok ??

last last month the temperature would be 38 C for idle and on load 44 C,
last month the temperature would be around 43 C- 45 C,
for the past two weeks, the temperature become constant 48 C - 50 C.

p/s. thats for idle and on load. except for gaming, will shoot up to 55 C

How did you measure it?

Well, cooler is always better, but I don't think that temperature will be a real problem.

using mobile meter, notebook hardware control, speedfan, hdtune and observation for the period and not least, sweat palm.
oh, hdd is on notebook, so notebook cooler is on all the time.
still, the temperature worried me.

so, it should be fine, right?

Yeah, it should be fine. Most notebook hard drives can operate in ambient temperatures of around 60 deg. C. That means their actual operating temperature can be quite high... at least 65-70 deg. C. If you know your hard drive model, you can check its tech specs.

Non-Operating -20–60°C

looks like its near the limit

That's the ambient temperature, not the actual operating temperature, if I'm not mistaken.
