yes, it is easy to configure it. I do connect my pc to the lcd tv downstairs sometime for viewing HD stuff ..Btw for 150..I doubt it's possible to get a decent HTPC casing. That mobo you're getting is Aero ready..so it should work and for the display setting, i'm not to sure yet as i have not gotten my HDMI cable yet. Btw how are you connecting the pc to the lcd? using HDMI?

So I would be running Catalyst right?

Does catalyst have any overscan/underscan correction? Does it crank up funny probs when connecting to LCD?

I am worried after I buy the PC, it will show up awfully on the screen. Cause when I google, most people seems to have prob.

yes..Using a 3870 + CCC ...720p i think should b around 1280x720..the rest are mostly LCD tv's maximum resolution..I still never try HDMI output on the pc to LCD yet though..ooh so far tested with S-video out on the lcd..Played Knight Rider HD on the tv ..Quality is superb and i don't see anything wrong with it

LOL! Why are you confused about the resolution? There's only one resolution with 720 pixels!

Well, cause I was confused why 720p panels have resolution of 1366x768 lol.

But it's alright, I sort of understand it now, it's the panel maximum resolution, so it should be the resolution I choose on my HTPC right?

The standard 720p should be 1280x720. Any other res are not standard. I think the only way for you to know is to test it yourself.
