Actually PS3 can read the content of MKV file, which is basically H264 and AC3 audio, but it doesn't recognise MKV container, so you have to convert the MKV container to VOB.

Yup, I know, and MKV supports virtually any type of video.

I didn't know H.264 in VOB works too, I always thought what VOB supports is only limited to MPEG2.

Oh what I meant was to test if it's fast enough to decode Full HD Divx, which I think it's capable, since BD is not a problem.
