for an mpeg2 video, 60mb for a 3min clip which is abt 3.3Mbps is consider very ave video bitrate~ probably they want to squeeze 14 channels in one freq~ for analog channels, u can set upto 12Mbps.

u probably delighted with the clean image fm the digital channels but when it comes to fast action or complex scenes, the compression artifacts will surface~

the above are my observation~ as im connected to analog cable, analog antenna & DVB-T, i would choose to record my show using analog cable over DVB-T~

Hopefully they are only squeezing 14 channels on one freq. just for the test. It would really suck if the final digital output is poorer than the old analog output.

Not sure with sunsetbay but I seriously think that the quality with digital TV is much better than analog tv, no matter what, definitely there is a drop in quality for analog tv.

digital channel offers clean, undistorted, rich color image but if the tv station squeeze alot channels into one freq, the bandwidth of the video would hv to compromise~ its like watching those 2-in-1 movies DVD, if u know what i mean~

let say u dun face any distortion over analog channel, which is my case as im connected to cable~ the digital signal only won over slight sharpness but loose out in seamless transition when comes to complex scenes~

I think that's because of the MPEG compression. There are always motion artifacts.
