I think the chipset itself is very hot. It's a single chip solution, if I remember correctly.

Of course, take the whole PC there and show them how the system becomes unstable as the NB is overheating. Hopefully they don't have their aircon running full blast over there

If I were you, I will just stick a 80mm fan on the heatsink with zipties. Too much trouble to RMA it (not to mention downtime) and it's not like the mainboard is actually damaged.

I have a spare P4 pc, so I actually don't mind. I already contacted Gigabyte TW, waiting for their green light

Honestly, it all depends on Gigabyte.

If they are fussy, they will test the board and find nothing wrong with it because at normal temperatures and working conditions, it probably works fine.

If you are lucky, heh... they will just throw the board aside and send you a new one. But whether they send you a new board or a refurbished one is another issue. Also, they may send you the very same model you send back to them, with the same heatsink.

I doubt they still have rev 1.0 board LOL

I already received their email and they did not indicate about my eligibility for RMA, instead they just asked me to send it back to the shop for testing

They can always send you a newer revision.

Bring it to the shop first, I guess they don't handle RMA directly from customers.

Even with the rev 1.1 or 2.0, the new heatsink isn't all that much better. I doubt it's overheating, unless you tried putting a fan over the NB cooler and aren't running into any problems anymore. I would just get a new NB cooler.

As an alternative, I suggest you try undervolting the processor with CrystalCPUID. I reduced the stock voltage on the 13x multiplier of my 5000+ BE by like ~.175v and it cut off like 10C (96C to 86C) from my NB during load (SmallFFT in Prime95).
