i hate vista - Page 2

I finally got my Vista working fine now after resolving all the compatibility issues. It's very stable now. Haven't seen BSOD for awhile since my last complain.

been a happy Vista X64 user here

..no issue so far...maybe it's sorta depends on hardware used on the machines :/

Vista is nice, until I wish to change motherboard that is.

Even from P35 to P35 - it's not like Windows XP where it just starts again, Vista will keep BSOD.

One way I heard that can help is to uninstall all drivers. Generally I think most people just re-install Windows.

aah, thats the disadvantage of Vista

..when one changes the mobo, one has to reinstall Vista D:...reinstallling is much faster than uninstall all the drivers (or rather same time?)

i find Vista installation to be damn fast.

i put all my games / benchies on other drive so it's just a matter of re-creating the short-cuts.

dude i can feel your pain,i had windows xp, then i moved onto vista, and nothing gets done anymore. its more secure but c'mon. a 2 security windows pops up everytime i open a program. and it doesn't let me run some programs on it as well. =(. yea had to downgrade to xp.

Just disable UAC (User Access Control). That's the first thing I do. Then you won't have to deal with the annoying pop-ups!

vista rocks i love it.

when xp came out, ppl were complaining, but they love it in the end.

when vista came out, ppl were complaining again, but they will love it when they get used to it (just like xp)

now windows 7 is coming out, ppl will complain again, i'm testing out windows 7 and there are some changes which i dont really like YET. its the matter of getting used to it.

besides, i'm using 64-bit. 32-bit users shouldn't complain as much as 64-bit users (64-bit has more limitations when it comes to drivers and certain software)

i'm thinking after windows 7, they will begin to concentrate on 64-bit OS.
Windows Server 2008 R2 (aka windows 7 "server") no longer supports 32-bit CPU.
