Reputation: 0 ![]() Rep Power: 0 | Hey people, my pc got splashed with water yesterday (supersoaker fights indoors are reallly a bad idea) and my case cover was off, so some water got inside and now it wont work anymore does anyone have any suggestions? any help or ideas would be really appreciated |

Reputation: 539 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Rep Power: 19 | best way is 1. dismantle the entire system. 2. put it in a warm (not hot) place 3. make sure there's some air-flow around. oh and before you start with point #2, do try knocking your components to a pillow or whatever soft object, even a carpet on floor would suffice. not hard knocks, moderate/gentle knocks to get water out of unseen places. |

Reputation: 0 ![]() Rep Power: 0 | One thing you need to remember is water doesn't generally hurt electronics, short circuits do. Depending on the part, it may still work. Some parts, even after leaving them dry for a long period of time, still will hold water in certain places. Also, if it doesn't come out in the end, make sure you test every part before buying all new. I'm sure many parts will still work even after turning the machine on while it's wet.
