Help with First Custom Built PC

Hello! I've been looking at some parts and what-not for a custom PC that I'm getting my dad to build since I don't know how to build one >_< But anyway, can you guys tell me if these parts are compatible?

I really need to get a new computer since I can't play some of the new games I bought (e.g. Dawn of War II ) I'm willing to change some of the parts should there be a better alternative or any incompatabilities.

They are compatible alright... but do you really want to go the AMD way? Since it's an entirely new system, it might be a better idea to go with the Intel Core 2 Duo processor instead.

You can also opt for the Core 2 Quad but that might be overkill since you appear to be using it as a gaming system. The extra cores won't make much of a difference in most games. You might as well use the extra cash on a nice speaker set or a larger hard disk drive.
