I have a number of dead Seagates. I will avoid it, and they are not really that fast.

Only use WD

Samsung is small player in HDD; they are more into SSD nowadays.

I am using velociraptor for my home desktop (fast as hell); and MyBookWorld as NAS sharing it has mediaserver build-in. Too bad I don't have a PS3. .. .

Agreed.

My Seagate HDD dies 2 times after few months of buying it (claim a new one and die after few weeks). After I joint the DeathStar (Hitachi) fleet, my computer run faster during start-up and searching for files.

I have no see any of my friend using Samsung HDD, so no comment.
