oh...ya..u must set ur IE to never dial a connection...

steps by steps:
IE >>> Tools >>> Connections >>> check 'never dail a connection'

if not, IE will ask u to reconnect wheever u click a page...which is very irratating

u must reset ur modem from the small hole behind ur DSL305E after all setting

huh? you all donno the 305E has built-in router capabilities ah? it's been around for some time already. (i thought everyone knew that by now.)

but from what i heard so far only the older model has such abilities , the new models doesn't have built in router capabilities.

so do check your 305E before you set your hopes too high.

haha the instructions you posted man.........

you see, the DSL305E (older versions) have built-in router abilities,

when you type 10.0.0.1 (or whatever the IP address for the modem) you can actually see the administration panel.

oh. and if you so happen to know someone using this modem and if that someone doesn't know that it has router capabilities, then you just have to key in the Streamyx IP of that person and you can access his router already.

username is usually admin, password is usually empty.
