I dunno about on LCDs, but on all versions of of 3DMark that I've tried, I can only run 1024x768 unless I use the pro version.

GarPhreak: You aren't using the pro version, are you? 'Cause running the extra tests can actually get you a lower score I think.

Yeah it was 1024x768 on previous versions but for 06 it should default to 1280x1024.

I think Papercut got it right, 3DM06 defaults to 1280x1024...

Viper007Bond: Running the pro version? As in did I pay for the version I'm using? If that's what you're asking then no, I didn't pay...

Got it off the torrent, without full functionality of course...

I'm going to try updating my Catalyst drivers...

Same thing, dude. Pro legal vs. pro illegal still gets you the same result.

Viper007Bond: Okay firstly, I hardly think it's illegal since I got the torrent link straight off Futuremark.com. So I suppose you're asking if I purchased the pro version for full functionality? Well then the answer is "no", so I only ran the standard tests.

Anyway I uninstalled all the ATi drivers, then installed the latest Catalyst drivers. Guess Papercut and werty316 were right about the driver issue 'coz I ran 3DMark06 again after that and...
WAHOOO!!!

Now THIS is more like it!!!

Now all I need is better cooling so I can overclock the heck out of this card...

There is one weird anomaly. Using the same settings and drivers and OC I can't reproduce this score. I get a little over 4K. NOt really sure how I got that high of a score.
A stock 7800GTX can never get that score. Probably some errors occured during the test, just like how my X1800XL scored 20k in 3DMark03

I remember my overclocked X1800XL got 4k before it is sent to RMA

Your card needs more juice too

Just a reminder if you want to overvolt your card, always keep the core voltage at 1.4v or below it. 1.4v is exactly what the X1800XT (700MHz version) is running at. The original X1800XT (625MHz version) is using ~1.3v.
