DVD-RAM?? How old is it? What other formats does it support? Does it support DVD+R and DVD-R?

Windows 98 does not recognize USB drives natively. You need to install a USB driver for it. You also need to upgrade to Windows 98SE.

Also u cannot install Windows '98 as a secondary operating system. The rule is - Oldest is the first! You can have, for example, W98 & W2K or W98 & WXP.
