Default Has DVD Backup etc, ever been considered by ARP ?

(Not exactly sure where to post this one).Has a section devoted to disc backup & burning ever been considered by the forum (guides etc)?
Using freeware such as decrypter, DVD2to1 etc,or would this be a conflict with potential advertisers and the powers that be?

Personally, I don't think CDs or even DVDs are large enough to do proper backups.

I would use a secondary HDD for backup.

I agree with Chai.

DVDs are only large enough to backup a certain section of my hard disk. maybe documents on one discs, RAW photos on 2 or 3 discs and so on. Thus, it's really hard to work out the backup.

I'd rather do a full ghosting over to another hard disk

The burning was referring to movies etc.

oh... Hmmm if you want to backup your original DVD movies, you can use tools like Ahead DVD Ripper. It works pretty well for my Howl's Moving Castle DVD

Never tried DVD Ahead but have had troubles with DVDShrink.Could possibly put that down to the quality of the disc media though. Shrink copies worked fine on computer but not on player.
If Adrian considered a DVD backup section it would definitely attract new members.Down side though, it might prove to be a legal minefield due to copyright.
