Shortcut to manipulate F9 button

hey, is there anyway / program where i can create this so called shorcut on the desktop.

When i click the shorcut, it will be like pressing an F9 button .. need it for some shorcut stuffz..

I found some code samples/snippets. I'll see if I can write something out of it using C# on .NET 1.1

Update. apparently. it's darn easy to fire keystrokes using .NET. but you will need to use a user32.dll api call to activate another process for the keystroke to run on.

Question is. what are you planning to do with this?

From what I see, the SendKeys function in .NET does not actually emulates the keyboard hardware, but instead fires a keypress event in the windows level.

Hmmmm Actually, the easiet way is to get one of those logitech keyboards with special media buttons and remap them to any keys you like.

I think Logitech keyboard software allows you to map any keys for their buttons. Unfortunately, you can't do that with the Microsoft Keyboard software

using avedesk

.. my F9 is fine .. but because of my keyboard layout, the F9 is right inbetween F8 & F10 .. so i ended up pressing the wrong button often .. plan to have a small program/shorcut on the Quick Launch to activate the AveDesk ShowCase function
