Reputation: 28 ![]() Rep Power: 5 | Have slowly been compiling MP-3's onto a DVD-R disc, but used a few different burning engines.Int explorer shows some files but not others,Nero shows diff ones again & the other program displays others. How can I display all the files at once & burn them using say one program? It took a long time to compile these files ,so I really want to rescue all of them. ![]()

Another way to show all file is to change the option in windows explorer. Tool-> Folder Options-> View Then check "Show hidden files and folders"; also you could uncheck "Hide protected OS system files".

Did you choose to select the PREVIOUS session everytime you updated the DVD? For all files to be visible, you should create a new session with information from the previous session loaded. Otherwise, the previous session will go "missing".

Reputation: 28 ![]() Rep Power: 5 | Definitely using diff burning engines has caused this, but they are all formatted in mp3.Tried selecting hidden files & folders etc already but no luck & always refresh previous files before adding new files to compilation. One positive at least is, when I play it from the dvd-rom drive, a larger majority of files show, compared to the burner (which is where they would be copied from anyway) So I may have to sacrifice the minority. I was hoping one of you guys was going to tell me about some magic new freeware that automatically uncovers lost files & burns them, as well as feeds your dog & washes the dishes, but no such luck.

You can load each session you created using Nero or other engines.

After all if I used the diff engines to burn it to another disc it would just recreate the whole problem.

So, you can use those engines to individually select the sessions and copying out the data to your hard drive. Then you can use a SINGLE DVD burning software to write all those MP3s into a single session.
