Reputation: 285 ![]() ![]() ![]() Rep Power: 9 | Ok, I have WMP 10, all updates, and the nVidia Pure video decoder. For some reason, I can't play DVD's in WMP! I could at one time, and then I started getting this error message (pictured below) and every DVD comes up as Playlist 2. (Pictured below) Reinstalling it, and the decoder does not work, and both blame each other. I don't want to re-install my PC just for this! Currently, I am using Power DVD, but I would rather be able to use the nVidia decoder, which wants WMP.

Reputation: 285 ![]() ![]() ![]() Rep Power: 9 | Lets see, for sound I use the digital connection to my sound card, so that's eliminated. With display, the nVidia decoded tells the video card to take care of it, and IMO that looks better then the PowerDvd software decoder. And controls, well, all I use is play, pause, and sometimes but vary rarely back and fourth. So, WMP with the decoder that I spent $50 USD on does everything I need, and provides a better experience IMO.

Reputation: 285 ![]() ![]() ![]() Rep Power: 9 | Well, I don't have a problem with WMP, plus I prefer it overall. Also, I forgot to mention, the nVidia codec handles the video better with the resolution I use. (1680x1050) It's smoother, and does not get pixelated.

Reputation: 285 ![]() ![]() ![]() Rep Power: 9 | Man, I am tired! Been up for almost 24 hours. School, reloading my PC! But the problem is fixed! I was starting to have another problem, not related, and found the only solution was a clean install. So, it only has taken about 12 hours and I am still not done!
