as for the matrix storage topic, yeah I guess you are right. "replace" is not the right term here. still, the need to install IMS is entirely dependant on your IDE configuration. IMS is basically just another set of optimized storage controller drive. if you enabled NCQ (AHCI) without having RAID setup, you would still need to F6-install IMS. |
