My alternative isn't listed either: None at the moment.

I do clean my registry, so the 2nd last option doesn't fit, but I only do it once or twice a year.
Therefore I use some freeware that's supposed to be good right then.

I've tried RegCleaner, TuneUp and some other programs, but I wouldn't say that I have any right now.

Default I Can't Believe You Forgot Registry Repair!

Wow. I can't believe you guys forgot to add StompSoft's Registry Repair to your poll. I've tried close to ten different registry cleaners and none of them did much good except for Registry Repair. You can get it right from the StompSoft website at http://www.stompsoft.com/registry-repair.html. I know it's not free like some of the other registry cleaner programs out there, but the free ones don't have half the functionality that Registry Repair does and they sure as heck aren't as easy to use.

StompSoft? Never heard of them before
I'll be sure to test it out soon when I feel my system is too slow. Too bad it isn't a freeware

Post I use a few...

CCleaner - it's free and very safe, but you may need to run it several times
Advanced System Optimizer - $40, but it's safe, and has a registry optimizer/compressor and other functionality
RegOrganizer - $40, mostly safe, also has a registry optimizer/compressor
RegSeeker - free, and the most aggressive registry cleaner I'm comfortable using
UniBlue Registry Booster 2 - $40, safe, relatively aggressive, also rebuilds registry keys that (the software developers believe) should remain in the registry that may have been cleaned away by other programs

I've heard good things about Comodo Registry Cleaner which is free, but haven't had a chance to try it out yet.

There's a pretty long list of registry cleaners at lists dot thedatalist dot com (I can't post links yet).

Default nCleaner, & Comodo

So far I've found that RegSeeker and Comodo Registry Cleaner are both pretty aggressive, but Comodo may be a little bit safer. Comodo cleaned ~1300 entries (leaving at least 500 it deemed unsafe to remove), and RegSeeker found another ~450. This is on a computer at work that's probably never had it's registry cleaned by anything but CCleaner.
