Exclamation Java v6.0 Beta 2 Download Link:

Sun has been busy at work with new releases for Java Standard Edition. They just release v5.0 Update 7 two weeks ago, and now they are releasing v6.0 Beta 2.

Has anybody tried it? Is it okay to replace 5.0r7?

Depends on what you're after actually. If u're just a JRE user and want the bleeding edge in things, you can give it a try, but chances are that you're not going to find any apps out there that makes use of version 6 as yet.

For now, I'm still sticking to version 5 for my dev work, as I'm not wanting to go around deploying stuff on beta level stuff.

Actually, if you're a developer, you might want to test run the Java 6 beta to get a feel of it in advance, just make sure not to do your actual work on it
