There's an option for you to just copy the whole hd over to the other harddisk if they are both running on the same PC... I used that option to migrate my work notebook's 40GB to a 80GB and it worked fine. But what I did was to remove a drive letter of the target harddisk (use windows computer management console to do that) and set the option to make it an active partition. that's it.

forget to say, the HDD that i wanted to clone was partitioned into two. 80GB --> c:drive 75GB NTSF & d:drive 4GB FAT32. i partition the new 250GB HDD the same way, 4GB FAT32 & the reminder as NTSF.

after i had used norton ghost, i open the new HDD drives & it seem to be correct. the files are the same as c & d drives.

i go to fdisk to set the partition to active but i couldnt see the new drives.
