Reputation: 19 ![]() Rep Power: 4 | Greetings, For some unknown reason, the 'remove' button in the "Add or Remove Programs" (from control panel) gone missing. I can't remove any programs from there. A whole chunk of other programs are also not listed there. I didn't do anything different. It was still okay the week before. But when i tried to remove a program this afternoon, I cant get find the button. Please help me out. I wonder if a simple registry fix can solve the problem. Thanks. |

Reputation: 19 ![]() Rep Power: 4 | Nope. Not WinXP Patches. I'm trying to remove my programs. Basically, all my programs that appear in my "Add/Remove Programs" cannot be removed. The remove button disappeared. And I'm sure i have far more programs than the few listed in it. Is there a probability that some of my WinXP files somehow went corrupted or something? |

Reputation: 390 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Rep Power: 6 | There is a big probability that some part of WinXP is corrupted or that the registry part related to the Uninstallers is. Suggest you go into the directory of the program you want to uninstall and look for an uninstaller EXE or use the Installer that you installed the program with with unist script file that comes with each program. But the i still recommend that you use a registry fixer to clean up your reg, or reinstalling windows.
