Supposedly the auto update is supposed to take a week after its initial release to push out but i have not seen it happen before. I usually download it the day its out

Question My Firefox does some Funky stuff

Apart from the memory hogging issue, Firefox 2.0.0.1 does a weird split second disappearing act when opening a new tab. It also does some strange "drawing outlines" for a new window before actually opening the window. Anybody else experiencing this ?

Now, you can fix the memory hogging issue by doing the following:

In a new tab address line type

about:config

Now in the "Filter" line type

config

IF you have a preference name boolean type entry called config.trim_on_minimize make sure it is set to true

If not, right click in the list area and select "new" --> "boolean"
and add config.trim_on_minimize and set to true
