I bought a specialised 2 channel sound card for listening to my music, and it only works on Windows. And it's internal.

What currently worries me the most with Vista is the license limitation for the boxed home versions.

Only allowed to be transfered once from one computer to another might require you to buy a new license every other time you make a serious upgrade to your computer! (Only marginally more slack than the current OEM license for XP.)
