I thought the prices have already been leaked quite sometime ago? Yes, it's insanely expensive. And Vista is very bad for enthusiasts like us, upgrading hardware like underwear.

Hmm.. from a biz perspective, it does seem to me that they've already saturated their possible desktop markets. Hence the only way they can still maintain their company growth rate is to squeeze every single dollar possible out of their existing market.

Notice on how they forbid the use of the home editions inside virtual containers? but tend to be rather relaxed on virtualization on the server side?

less piracy problem over at the server side so they allow VT? i dunno...
