Anonynous FTP on NT4

Hi,

I have a bit of a puzzle with an old NT4 server. Its running the web peer services's FTP server which I can configure under the Internet Service Manager.

There is an NT user called "ftp" and an NT user called "ftpsc2004". The puzzle is these users seem to be identical. However, if I ftp into this box from another machine using the user "ftpsc2004", I am successfull whether anonynous ftp is enabled or not. But if I ftp into this box using the user "ftp", I can only gain access if anonymous ftp is enabled and the user "ftp" is selected as an anonymous user.

Is the username "ftp" a special username in NT4 ?? Can any1 please explain this puzzle?
