Well, that's how it is.
Of course some ppl got Vista on a nF2 up and running,
but as I said, neither with full perf nor full feature set.
As far as I can see, all of 'em are or were using nV cards.

Hey!

I fully appreciate the info you have provided to me, it helps a lot.
Guess I just have the wrong setup right now to run Vista... (I had it running once, guess it luckily passed the resetting loop) so it seems lucky if it works, unlucky if it doesnt!

I'm off to order a new Alienware SLI 7500 lol

FWIW, I was able to get Vista to run on my GA-7NNXP system without too much trouble. I just needed to make sure I had all the latest drivers for Vista ot be happy with the install.

Hey, if you happen to upgrade your system and want to get rid of your GA-7NNXP board, please let me know! My board lost the PS/2 keyboard plug in an electrical storm. I'm in need of a backup board. Please write me at *email removed please us pm*

It is known that some older HDD chipset firmware would not work on Vista with raid capable motherboard.

It is also known that older hardware and firmware is not supported by Vista period. If you are building a newer system as I have I would recommend Vista especially if you need a 64 bit OS as I do. On upgrading an older machine I would stick to XP

PPS: nitross if you are wondering who edited your thread it was me. Including email addys on the forum promote spam for your account. We prefer you use PM's .. thanks
