Default Readyboost

Hey there,

Since you guys are using Vista, any ideas of Readyboost?

I'm going to readyboost my Vista rig with 1GB RAM, will adding another 1GB thumbdrive (kingston readyboost ready) going to reduce the HDD trashing?

Haha... I just bought a good monster-sized 2GB thumb drive (Kingston Datatraveler) and unfortunately Readyboost tests showed that the flash drive isn't up to that performance. But I saw the cheaper brandless ones can take it...

I need not worry so much about it because I can always use the 2GB drive for something else...

Anyway, does Readyboost actually boosting up game performance as well?

This would have been useful for you but I guess it's a little too late.

I seriously doubt it... If you have 1.5GB or more RAM, I don't think you will gain any tangible benefit from ReadyBoost...
