Ok, now this is annoying. It was the AGP driver because I had a whole millisecond lag with it was drawing 2 opening's at once. But, the OS is all nuts. Mainly because optimisations I did from the start for the drivers SO, I need to reload everything AGAIN. Oh well, it's been a while now, and it's just more annoying then anything else. Not too long these days either.
If I have this problem pop up again, I will just continue in here, so please don't lock the thread for about a week if at all.

No problem.

Yeah, best start fresh. BTW, did you also install the NVIDIA IDE driver? Maybe you can try with the standard IDE driver.

no. I used to use the IDE driver, but it caused some problems with letting optical disks go. It would keep thinking the disk was still there. Or sometimes just wouldn't mount the disk. Nothing unheard of if you look into it, so I just use the MS IDE driver. With the HDD it's a little slower, barely noticeable and it's a lot more reliable.
Anyway, I don't have the time to re-install everything now, and I am just lazy. Soon, it will be dumped but for now I put the NVidia AGP driver back in. I will live with the lag for now. But I also downloaded a new copy of it, and verified it. They changed the INF files a little, so it might work. Either way, I will dump everything. Partitions are a lifesaver with this stuff!

Not quite sure what you mean. You said that "when u open programs etc ,that sometimes there is a stall or lag".AGP drivers as u know are graphics performance but opening any prog is always initiated by the AMD chip & it's drivers.Chipset being first install, can slowly be corrupted in it's performance over time by programs that need patching etc.It still works, but is hampered.I only realised how much, when I started encoding video.
Nvidia & ATI are about to soon start using the wasted grunt from the graphics cards, towards functions that the cpu only does. Those m'boards will be worth waiting for!

Ok, I have a nice clean install of XP running. Without the AGP driver from nVidia, there is still a lag BUT, it's extremely rare (I have to do a lot of opening and closing, or do things quickly) and it's a fraction of the time before. Very tolerable, as it's mostly when it has to start drawing a new item. Once it gets past the program icon, it's fine.

And now the celebration can end. Why? Why else, IT'S BACK!
Yes, it's back just as before, only more frequently. I am going to put the AGP Driver on, but the whole lagging is back. Although, it's obvious it's a software problem.

I got board, so I dumbed everything and reinstalled XP again. Oddly enough, it seems to be gone now... weird.
I will update if things change, or as soon as I remember to should everything keep working properly.
