Has anyone tried it yet?

Not significant, but good enough for me to switch back to vista x64. those little annoying delays are gone, file transfer is faster. the entire experience is alot better.

Vista is definitely much snappier. obviously, the original Vista RTM is a premature release...it works but it's also very very annoying! something like v0.9, v0.92..etc shame on MS, I can't believe they actually force the consumers to buy an OS that's not properly polished and tuned. as we all know, most of the notebook manufacturers do not allow their customers to downgrade.

Vista SP1 is v1 that everyone is waiting for. it's still a pig though.

It's still in Beta until Q1 2008.

Get XP SP3 la...

Vista SP1 will be released Q1 '08, I heard OEMs already went for trainings about installation, etc. in Tokyo, Japan.

I like Vista but the software compatibility part is my only problem and drivers...

That's why I still use XP with Vista theme.

Yeah, I'm always concerned about that. Still don't dare to upgrade. Maybe take a old HDD to play around first.
