Reputation: 0 ![]() Rep Power: 0 | i`m new to this forum, so bear with me please. i have a partitioned harddrive in which the "c" side is used up, mostly. the "d" side has 129 gigs of free space. can i install vista home premium to the "d" side? this computer is above all the system requirements. |

Vista will assign the drive letter and partition # to boot from accordingly. But just remember when you are installing software, some software may just install it by default to C drive. But if it's me, and the C drive only consists of data, I'd move out the data and create a fresh 2 partitions and install the OS on C and move my data back to D. So that I don't have to worry accidentally install software on the data partition and again accidentally delete it. Accidents happen...
