Question vista to "d" side

i`m new to this forum, so bear with me please. i have a partitioned harddrive in which the "c" side is used up, mostly. the "d" side has 129 gigs of free space. can i install vista home premium to the "d" side? this computer is above all the system requirements.

There should be no problem installing it to the D side. Vista will assign the drive letter and partition # to boot from accordingly. But just remember when you are installing software, some software may just install it by default to C drive.

But if it's me, and the C drive only consists of data, I'd move out the data and create a fresh 2 partitions and install the OS on C and move my data back to D. So that I don't have to worry accidentally install software on the data partition and again accidentally delete it. Accidents happen...

I read that dual booting off a single drive can corrupt the MBR/NTLDR?

it's time to call for V!

KVM, or virtual box

psy: not if you install the OS according to the proper sequence
