Not going to work, because I need to play many games, which doesn't work with virtual pc.

windows on windows, a 32-bit emulator built into x64 windows. runs at native speed and is used translate 32-bit calls so that all 32-bit apps can be executed on x64 windows. 64bit registry and 32bit are under different trees. the same goes to system and program files. unless your app requires a driver (eg, adobe PDF printer, cd/dvd/bluray burning app, vid camera, handphone..etc), all 32-bit app will run just fine on x64.

But don't games require graphics card drivers?

64-bit forceware and catalyst have existed for more than a year. x64 doesn't take 32-bit driver but it can run 32-bit app, through WOW.
so my point was that there are still alot of developers out there who just don't bother to release 64-bit drivers. take adobe as an example. 32-bit acrobat pro 8.0 can't print to PDF on x64 windows because it lacks 64-bit drivers . Patch v8.1 fixes this issue (as adobe finally added in 64-bit driver support, but the application is still 32-bit, and runs in WOW environment).

So a 32-bit game will run on x64. in WOW environment. i completed all my 07 games on x64 vista

I don't think you know what type of games I'm refering to.

Emulators, classic games, dos games etc. Thankfully, DOSBox works in 64bit.

Yup, that is some of the problems I'm worried about.

16 bit apps? wow. that's ancient. LOL! If you want to continue to run those, then no choice lo.

Otherwise, WOW works great. more than 50% of my installed apps are on the "Program Files (x86)" folder anyway. And that include quite a few games too Goes to show that 32 bit apps runs just as fine on Vista 64 as it would on Vista 32 or XP. Those problematic apps are the ones that specifically won't run on 64 bit such as Nikon's RAW plugin for Vista.... works only on 32 bit. WTH.
