Default Windows Startup

I have found this 2 files in my startup:

9xadiras.exe
2kadiras.exe

I disabled it and nothing happens. It is listed in the Reg Under Search Assistant. My antivirus detected it as a dialer. I searched the internet and they said :

"Normally leave to run at start-up
Allied Telesyn AT series router/modem related - apparently required "

I want to know what files are this and can I just delete it? thanks

well, if you system runs fine, then you might as well just leave it disabled. It's probably some services that are used when you dial up with your modem. If you never do that, then it should be just fine.

Oh yeah, got that too. I think I posted about this before.

It's legit. It's a dialer for your soft-modem but you can disable it if you don't use it.

That's strange. Methinks it's a false positive for sure.
... unless it's some kind of rogue software lol
Make a scan with Spyware Terminator just in case!

I don't trust Spyware Terminator.

Instead, I would suggest Spyware Doctor or CounterSpy.

How would you not trust? It's known to not include any spyware and such already.

Spyware Doctor and CounterSpy are good software, but come with a huge price tag

There is a freeware version of Spyware Doctor that works very well.
