well, I save my installation programs and also for security reason
so virus don't affect the .exe, if we password-protect it.

Usually compressing .EXE's don't make it any smaller though, seeing as the installer already compressed it.

well, I'm trying to reduce as many as I could as my .exe is taking 1/6 spaces of my hdd

Since there is already a compressed music format (mp3) above, it is not surprising exe file will be mentioned althought compressing them will not result in much difference.

I guess I'm the oddball; I can't think of a single thing I compress, except on very rare occasions.
