Cool. Actually does that mean gaming in Vista has no different compare to XP (excluding running games in Dx10 Mode )

Thats good news and glad I waited until SP1 came out ... curious why they didn't include X64 ... I am assuming those results are for the 32 bit version

I think the test results answered your question?

I would be interested to know how the Aero et al affect this at all, as I remember it made a huge difference to Vista's (and for that matter XP's) performance turning off the eye candy...

Good to know and see that they are working on catching Vista up with XP as far as gaming goes. Am currently working on putting a new box together and had been debating whether or not to move to Vista.

It has its pros and cons(teething pains) as any OS even XP when it was first introduced. I waited until SP1 came out before trying it and have found few driver or compatibility issues with it. The UAC is a stupid idea but easily disabled as well as some eye candy.

If your O/Cing Vista handles memory better but XP is still more stable

UAC is a good idea, especially for someone who doesn't really know what they are installing but extremely annoying. I finally understood how UAC works, and I enable it.
