yeah, codec packs seem kinda heavy for a system, but they're so easy to use.
Could you make a list of the codecs you use? I'm planning on doing the same but dont know which one to download

Indeo-for older games.

DivX/Xvid - The codec of choice for most of the video's I've encountered.

MSU Lossless - I used this to archive video's that where important to me and I didn't want to degrade the video quality.

If I encounter a video that doesn't play I run it though gspot to see what codec it needs.

I just use WMP and as much of the original codecs I can. If I play a Quicktime movie, I use Quicktime and so on.

CCCP & MPC

Was using BS Player v1.38 for sometime before switching to MPC. The latest version of BSP comes with ad ware

MPC seems to be able to play anything I throw at it

Oh I see. I always wondered what Gspot was for. Just by the name I didn't want to execute it lol

Adware? That sucks. I hate it when software turn to the worse.

MPC seems to be quite popular in the forums so far

Really? Does anyone know how to configure MPC to play videos in 5.1 speakers? Cause it sounds weird to me compare the sounds i get in VLC (VLC tends to crash when playing FULL HD) videos.

Iono, I don't have an ATI 2x00 card myself so I can't find a solution lol
There must be a work-around to this though.
