I was using K-Lite before CCCP and found out that some videos could not be played like MKV files which I had to download a separate codec for that, or some other issues like video playing but no audio.

CCCP plays everything


Some other lesser known codec packs out there seem to have additional adware packaged with it as I discovered when some of my friends were complaining why their machines are crashing or running slowly.
