Default Does WinRar uses both processors when extracting/packaging files?

Hi there, as topic

Does Winrar uses all the cores when extracting files/packaging files?

If it doesn't, can any other software do it?

AFAIK, WinRAR supports multi-core processing.

It used all my four cores when I was trying to compress a 2GB file.

Is it the same with multithreading?
as I can see that on Setting - General, on "system" part.

WinRAR - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Since version 3.60 beta 1, WinRAR includes a multithreaded version of the compression algorithm, which improves compression speed on systems with multiple, dual-core or hyperthreading-enabled CPUs.

Yeah, it's the same thing. Actually, multi-threaded is a better description than saying that it's multi-core optimized.
