Default Syba IDE raid controller card won't boot

Two hard drives, set up as raid 0 .
Installing Windows XP, it shows the hard drive volume, loads the drivers for raid card, then loads all the windows files.
When it restarts it will not boot, I have the boot priority set to SCSI, CDROM, etc... I have tried several boot priority sequences. If I have set to boot from SCSI first it will not go on to the CDROM it simply restarts after a few seconds and stays in a boot/restart loop.
I feel I am missing something obvious but have not been able to find it.

Any Thoughts???

When you install Windows XP, did you press F6 to load the RAID driver from your floppy disk?

Yes, I did press F6 During boot and it loaded the drivers for Raid.
I am able to create the volume in Windows setup and it formats ok, loads the initial files, then when it is done loading it restarts but after POST will not display the welcome screen or continue to load Windows files.

Thanks for the reply

Hmm.. What shows up on the screen? Does it ask you to insert a bootable disk, or anything like that?

No, it goes through POST, the hard drive led flashes once, then the screen goes black like it usually does right before the welcome screen or if were going to continue loading windows. Then it restarts without any prompts or warning. The unusual thing (I think) is why it won't try to boot from the CDROM if that is the second boot device and it does not boot from SCSI.

If that's the case, it meant that the system found the SCSI device, but it's not able to boot properly, so it restarts everytime after POST.

Okay, just wondering.. did you load the correct RAID driver for the OS? E.g. 32-bit XP driver for Windows XP 32-bit.

Also, please check if your BIOS is fully updated.

first why dont you check if the controller card is defective by setting the jumper to non raid ? does the controller have jumper to set to non raid ? if it works then its not hardware issue but drivers.
