Default Internet Explorer 8

When I saw performance comparison of IE8 vs others, I was really surprised it was faster.

So I have to test it for myself, and surprisingly, it is quite an impressive browser. I'm very impressed by the speed of the page loading. Faster than Firefox 3.0. The only problem for me is, there's very little plugins for IE8.

Anyone tested it yet?

Last time I try, it had issues with spywareblaster and spybot 's immunization where when opening new tab, there will be delay and not responding for a couple of seconds.

Tried it, it is faster than FF and damn by a big margin. But I had so many plug-ins in FF, and I prefer FF rss feed method, and i can also switch to IE8 engine with one click so no plans of changing back to IE.

my Vista has been asking me to upgrade but I haven't got myself to do it.

How is the speed compared to Chrome or Opera I think we all know FF is slow but the beauty of FF is the plugin / add-on / extensions, which I think is more than a fair trade-off.

btw anyone done ACID test with IE8?

Yup. It's fast. I kinda like browsing on it too. But my FF is configured with all the plugins that I use and need. So, primary browsing is still FF, but would easily switch to IE if FF starts to be a pain.

I upgraded to IE8 sometime ago. It's much faster and much nicer to use than IE7 for sure.

Just hate the fact that it won't automatically save and reload my windows when I open it.

Hmm...it won't load the forum properly...

You can always install IE7Pro, it improves the tab management, including allowing to save the tabs.

I stopped using Chrome because of interface... There are some problems with IE though. But looks like I will continue using IE8 despite the flaws.
