Thin ITX motherboards

    Can someone shed some light on Thin-ITX boards. I'm not too familiar with them and I have not seen one in person before.

    Are all Thin-ITX power adapter socket the same size?

    If they are a standard (which I believe it should be), does any one know what laptop power adapter fits Thin-ITX boards? I haven't found too much info and had some conflicting info.

    I have many Dell adapters currently :lol:

    Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to have a standard, like any laptops even from the same manufacturer. You may need to get one of those universal adapters.

    Ya, sometimes laptop same manufacturers have different plug designs. :wall:

    I think I just manage to find some information. Seems like manufacturers just wants to make our lives difficult. :lol:

    High Wattage Power Adapter Designs for AIO


    Socketed Thin-ITX
    19V, 7.4mm OD, 5.1mm ID

    Commonly used by Dell. And maybe HP.


    Atom-based ITX or those embedded boards or AMD ITX with DC in.
    19V, 5.5mm OD, 2.5mm ID

    Most common, used by many laptop manufacturers

    But there are so many laptop manufacturers... I don't think it is really that standard.

    I think some of them are also using 12V power supplies, right?
