even if you can't oc your cpu, you can still oc your graphic card via softwares, so if you got a overclockable card, then you may still gain some performance. However, if the limit of your system is the cpu, then you are out of luck. Save few bucks, just use the lower setting for now, and save up the money for the next upgrade.

I found a nice ASUS mobo that I'd like, and I'd also like to get a Koolance case with built-in liquid cooling. Then I could really OC everything

I just need to bargain with my rents to let me get both a job and those parts...

Don't get caught up too much on the liquid cooling and OC, I suggest save more mnoey and buy a new mobo+cpu, as that way you really would see much better performance than merely oc.

the Koolance water cooling seems to be quite ok. Its external so it wont be a real hassle for you to set it up..

What kinda ASUS mobo did you find?

I was looking at the P4C800-E DELUXE, since it would work with the parts I have now. I would then consider moving up to 2x74 Raptor SATA in RAID 0 to increase load times and use the 160 gig HD I have now for storage of video files and stuff.

Doubt that'll happen though.

Here is the mobo on Newegg

it'll be able to do that, but only if you have good ram also. i seriously doubt that hp would give you good ram...
