Default w00t another problem for you guys to solve!

yeah im back with shitty problems again , i installed onimusha 3 on my comp and did this and that , but in the end when i try to play the game , some error message shows that "Failed in creating Direct3D Device" hahaha i dunno wad is this crap to begin with and so i tried going to start>run>dxdiag and check if everything is alright , turns out everything to be fine... so wad should i do now haha.... im on a geforce 4 Ti (128mb) btw , could it be that im in need of a new graphic card thats why i couldnt play that damn game


ps : i know that game is an old game , i played it before , a long long time ago and finished it so dont bother adding in a phrase like "thats ancient, man"

It seems that your DirectX has some problems. I suggest that you'll completely remove DirectX and then do a 'clean' install.

If this doesn't work, try updating your Video Drivers (first do 'driver clean' with a "Driver-Cleaning" Program and then re-install).

erm how to remove directx and where to get the setup for the direct x?

Oops, my mistake It seems that you CAN'T uninstall DirectX 9 once it was installed, because after installation it becomes part of your operating system. But, try to download DirectX 9.0C from Microsoft Site (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/dir...ctx/downloads/) and just re-install. Maybe it will help.

Let's just move a step back, does this happens only when u play onimusha 3 or does this happens on evey 3D game u throw at it?

You may NOT need to reformat.

What you CAN do is install ANOTHER instance of Windows XP. Install it into a separate partition of your hard drive so it won't be confusing and you can dual-boot into either one.
